Do we wanna be here?

Absolutely. We want to be here.

Would we like to be in our home towns, close to our loved ones, our friends and family?

Absolutely, we want to be there as well.

If the violence weren’t as present.

If inflation didn’t grow exponentially as we breathe.

If, from there, we could dominate the world with our art.

But we need to take our tale to a different stage.

To a bigger stage.

We have the biggest audience but somehow not the biggest stage.

So what the hell are we doing here, in this Godforsaken land?

This is not the biggest stage, this is not home.

This is just a pit stop on our way to dominate the world.

But doesn’t this pit stop feel nice?

Oh, it does.

Here we can have a house - barely.

Here we can earn a living - barely.

Here we find other friends who have the same dream of dominating the world.

But if we take too long at the pit stop, does this mean this is the new place we call home?

My love, home is wherever you are.

So let’s go, let’s pack.

We took so long to build this, but if we stop we never get to build whatever it is we are meant to build.

I know, it’s tiring.

At some point we would like to stop building and start just being.

But we are not there yet.

I am not there yet.

I know it is a silly little dream, but it is one I must follow.

I look foolish now.

You might wonder:

Why can’t she be happy where she is?

You see, I already am happy.

I have always been happy, since the day I was born.

The truth is I want to be splendid, fabulous, marvellous, incredible.

It is funny how I want to build something that is going to outlive me, but I am not willing to have children.

What do I have to say to the world that could mean more than my DNA?

I want someone to read my words and think:

Oh, she gets me!

No one else in this world gets me, but she did. Long ago she lived, yet she did.

Will that be enough?

To make someone, someday, smile and feel good?

Or do I have to see it with my own eyes, as I live.

I did good in this world.

I made someone smile today. I have to see that smile today.

So I will share these words today.

I will not keep them to myself.
